"Orange and Hammer" is a "historical" film, in "costume", set in the hot summer of 2011 in the midst of Berlusconi's power. The life of a quiet and ordinary local market is upset by the news of its closure by the Municipality. The only political reality to turn to is a section of the Democratic Party, at the bottom of the road. Separated from the market and the world - for years - from a concrete wall erected to allow the subway works. From that moment on we will live a unique, paradoxical, comic and dramatic day, during which everything is consumed and everything becomes a satirical paradigm of the recent history of our country.
